The causes of drainage problems
More often than not, we’re called out to clear blockages. These can be caused by fat and grease from cooking waste, tree roots (and the occasional mountain of baby wipes). On occasions it’s more serious with structural defects, or a broken pipe, perhaps caused by ground movement, heavy vehicles, corrosion, subsidence or just time old age.

CCTV
Cube can carry out CCTV drain surveys, where one of our qualified engineers will use a CCTV camera to film the condition of your drains, allowing them to identify any problems and pinpoint the location. They will then be able to advise you on whether your drains require routine maintenance or more serious treatment, such as lining and excavation. (We will provide a DVD of the CCTV survey)
High Pressure Water Jetting
Cube have professional high pressure water jetting equipment, so we can deal quickly and cost-effectively with your common drainage problems, from reduced flow to unblocking drains. High pressure water jetting is ideal to use in drains, sewers and stack pipes. We’ll use the jets to remove relatively soft silt or hard solid-set substances such as scale or cement.
Pipe Lining
It is not always necessary to have expensive and disruptive excavation works, with our swift and cost-effective pipe-lining services. Cube have trained engineers that can remove the need to dig up surfaces to reach damaged, broken pipes or leaking ground-water.
Cube Drain engineers can line pipes of all sizes (75mm to 150mm diameter), in every location where it’s hard for traditional methods to reach. We’ll choose from a range of linings to suit your practical needs, in both ambient and thermally cured systems.
The system works by positioning a resin impregnated felt into place, and inverting it with either water or air. When the job has cured, we take out the inversion tube,in essence it like having a pipe within a pipe.
Pre-Planned Maintenance (commercial)
Your chance to get ahead of the drains! We already mention that the only certainty with a blocked drain is that it unplanned , unpleasant and usually smelly, all of which costs money.
Cube are able to carry out a site survey to check the state of your drains, and make sure your waterways flow freely with an initial full clean of all your pipe work and drains. Then, we’ll prepare a detailed programme of care, showing which parts of your system need cleaning on a regular basis. Every programme is tailored to suit the needs of your business, and scheduled so your staff and customers will suffer the minimum disruption.
